Seething Wells Halls

Seething Wells, Portsmouth Road, Surbiton KT6 5PJ

The University’s new Innovation Hub at Seething Wells is open and could be an ideal location for your next event. The site spans two heritage-listed buildings located next to the River Thames – the Chelsea Coalstore and Muniments.

Following a £2 million investment, the buildings have been transformed into flexible event and workspaces, purposefully designed to support business, innovation and entrepreneurship.

The buildings have a rich history, and were part of the area’s extensive Victorian water works which included the still visible filtration beds, coal storage facilities and a network of machinery and pipes needed to produce clean water which was pumped upstream to Lambeth and Chelsea.

Please note there is strictly no parking available on site.

  • Walking Seething Wells is a 15 minute walk from Surbiton Train Station or a 25 minute walk from the University’s main Penrhyn Road Campus.
  • Parking The nearest public car park is the Harts Boatyard Restaurant, around 7 minutes walk.
  • Bus You can also use the free Kingston University bus from Penrhyn Road Campus. The journey takes around 7 minutes and the bus stop is located near Sainsbury’s on Penrhyn Road.
